By using SimpleCompressor, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

SimpleCompressor provides free, browser-based file compression tools including image compression, video compression, audio compression, and ZIP archive creation. All processing occurs locally in your browser.

Permitted Use

You may use SimpleCompressor for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to compress or distribute illegal content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying compression code
  • Use automated bots or scrapers against the service
  • Misrepresent the origin of your compressed files

No Warranties

SimpleCompressor is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about:

  • The accuracy of compression ratios or quality estimates
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all file types or browsers

Limitation of Liability

SimpleCompressor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Since files are processed locally, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss that occurs on your device.

Intellectual Property

SimpleCompressor uses open-source libraries including FFmpeg (LGPL), JSZip (MIT), and Next.js (MIT). The SimpleCompressor interface, branding, and proprietary code are owned by SimpleCompressor.

Changes to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SimpleCompressor operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
